Thunder Bunny

The Thunder Bunnies (our indoor soccer team) got beat pretty bad last night. We played well, but the other team got all the bounces. We went for a drink at Franny-O's after. They have karaoke on Wednesday nights now - so we had that going for us. Below is a cell phone panoramic of Jeff, Mat, Zak, and Marin.

The Clark's have a home - 9.22.07

Dan and Kelly just bought a house right next to Duffy (the elementary school I went to). It's a great house and they'll have a lifetime of fun and memories there. They threw a house warming party Saturday night, so Maegen and I made the trek down. The party started off right with a game of kickball. Lloyd surprised everyone by displaying a small element of athleticism, maybe he picked it up out in San Fran. The day and night was filled with good times - I got to chill with a lot of people I have not seen in years. The night ended (as it often does) with an '80s dance party. Dan and Kelly have a DVD collection of the "top videos of the '80s". Let's just say I had no idea how much I missed Tiffany. Thanks Dan and Kelly, I can't wait until next year. And thanks Marge for sending the pictures (we forgot our camera).

Update on moving to the country

Yes, the house and driveway shown in the photos below are a real house for sale that we are seriously considering buying. A few people seemed to think that they were just a pictures of what my dream house would be. It is indeed a reality. We visited it yesterday afternoon, which just so happened to be one of the most picture perfect fall days in Vermont you could imagine. We love the house itself!! It is pretty much exactly what we are looking for. The location is not quite as perfect. It shortens my commute a bit, but creates a pretty long commute for Jay, who currently walks three blocks to work. The bigger issue is that our entire social/support network is in burlington. So, needless to say, we are torn. In a lot of ways, we are ready to take the leap. In other ways, we are not so sure this is the best move. We need to make a decision pretty quickly, but for now, we are still deliberating. Stay tuned...

moving to the country???

Jay and I are thinking about moving out to the country...like on a dirt road, with a great mountain view. Okay, so it's Huntington, which isn't all that far, but it would definitely be quite a lifestyle change from where we are now. I just can't stop thinking about waking up and looking at the mountains covered with snow. I even started planning (well in my head) Curley's annual summer bash, which could take place in the yard. Basically, we are going crazy not having any outdoor space at our current place and the idea of having an acre in the mountains is starting to sound more and more appealing. Who knows how it will all work out, but for now it's fun to dream about!!

Straight from Saint Barth

Michael and Kelly brought us back some vanilla rum from Saint Barth. After some mini-burgers with blue cheese and mushrooms we tried it out. I liked it, a nice sweet after-dinner drink. Maegen thought it tasted like robitussin, but she blamed it on the fact that she had red wine earlier. Thanks Mike and Kel.

morning - 9.16.07

We got to enjoy a few minutes at the beach before the ride home. Breakfast at Aurther and Pat's as always.

Surprise! -9.15.07

We celebrated my aunt Elaine's 51st birthday with an amazing surprise party down in Milton. Elaine has been battling cancer for over a year now, and she's kicking it's ass. Great times, lots of music, some dancing, but mostly... a ton of laughter. We rolled right from the surprise party down to Marshfield for CousinFest '07. This lasted well into the morning. Check out Erica's "chillin with my gnomies" tee and the Mrs. Curley's pic, yep there are three of them. I can't wait for CousinFest '08 - winter edition.

catching up with old friends

Last weekend and early last week I caught up with some old friends. Amanda and Cleary were up for Andy Saver's wedding. And Erin was up with her future husband Dean. It so great to see old friends, and not skip a beat.

Kim's 30th! - 9.8.07

Kim turned 30 last Saturday. We reached max capacity in our apartment and had a great dinner, drinks, and there might have been a dance off in the living room. Check out a few highlights below: cupcakes in a cone by Maegen, surprise guest up from brooklyn, Ms. Molly McGlynn, Tequila shots with cinnamon and orange instead of salt and lime (thanks Anthony).

Daykin and Sam's wedding 9.1.07

Being that Jay decided to post only random stuff from the Daykin and Sam's wedding, I thought I would share a little about the actual wedding. I absolutely loved the ceremony! It was beautiful...the minister was amazing and the singing was an awesome touch. The bagpipes really got me... I mean how was I supposed to not cry with Amazing Grace on the bagpipes. The party was great too...good times with old friends, dancing, drinks, and some delicious chocolate cake. Thanks Daykin and Sam for sharing your special day with all of us. And, you have the two cutest kids around...those curls are just too much for me.

Daykin and Sam's wedding (random non-wedding stuff) - 9.1.07

Daykin and Sam's wedding was amazing. They are so in love and have a beautiful family. It was great to see old friends. I also saw some random things...

A heartbreak - KTB Championship: 8.30

After an amazing season, including a first place finish and an extra innings victory to land us there, we lost the championship by 2 runs. We were not able to repeat our championship from last year. Sweet Tang played a great game. I love my team. Go-go's for life.

Crooked Path: 8.27 - 8.31

We found paradise 30 minutes from home for a week. After Mike and Kel's wedding we stayed at our friend Kim's cabin in Charlotte for a week. It was so relaxing a peaceful, a welcome break. Maegen still had to work on Monday and Tuesday - but Charlotte is closer to her work than home. Lot's of fishing, eating, biking, reading, and laying in the hammock. Thanks again Kim.

what is this crazy blog business

so, jay decided it would be fun to start a blog about our lives to share with others. at first it kind of reminded me of those weird letters some people send in their chrismas cards documenting every main event that has taken place in their lives over the course of the previous year. i think it is a nice idea, but something about it seems a bit strange to me. anyway, my second thought was...is anyone really going to look at this?? are we really that interesting? well, i guess we'll just have to wait and see about that one. so, here's my first ever blog posting. enjoy our site! come back often and learn more about our action packed and fun-filled lives.

Rhode Island fun - 8.20.07

In mid-august we headed down to Narragansett for a weekend with Ang's family and old friends. Good times on the beach and great food from Pete, Moses, and Carlos. We finally got to have Pete's famous beer can chicken, some "bangin" pulled pork, the biggest shrimp we'd ever seen, and FRESH steamers. The only down side was Maegen and I getting smoked by Jimmy and Amanda in set back.

a blog?

We decided to start a blog to keep friends and family up-to-date on what's happening in our world. And to post random stuff. Good times.
